You are required to prepay the service fees in order to confirm your appointment. It must take place within 48 hours of the booking of your appointment. Otherwise your appointment will no longer be guaranteed.

Schengen Travel Insurance

A specific travel insurance, 100% Schengen compliant, is mandatory for your visa application under European Union regulations(Decision 2004/17/EC of December 22, 2003).If the travel Insurance does not comply with Schengen requirements in accordance with European Union regulations, your visa may be refused.

If you wish to take out your insurance yourself, you can go to the first European comparator Insurte. Here you'll find global insurers Allianz, Axa, Europ Assistance and Mutuaide.”

2 | Passport return in Gaborone :

Passport delivery

Once your visa is issued, you will receive an email update from Capago. Capago will carry back your passport to the following address in Gaborone: Aramex/Sprint courriers, Plot 69368, Unit 1, Western Industrial Estate Broadhurst.

Kindly note that a passport transfer fee of 30€ is to be paid on the day of your appointment.

A prepayment is required to confirm your appointment.

At this step, you can choose your preferred date and time of appointment. You will then be invited to prepay our service fee to confirm your appointment. We will release your appointment slot after 48 hours should you fail to prepay the fees.

Please note that additional appointment slots are made available at midnight for next day appointments.

The Biometric Exemption Procedure

If you have already obtained a previous Schengen visa and your biometric data (i.e. digital photograph and fingerprints) was previously collected, you can be exempted from giving your biometric data again on condition that:

  • You are applying for a short stay Schengen visa
  • You have already obtained a previous Schengen visa within the last 59 months (Just under 5 years)
  • Your biometric data (fringerprint and photo) have been taken for this previous visa
  • You have a copy of your previous Schengen visa, on which the remark VIS appears. Please refer to "How to read my visa"
